In the default setting, one or more users are linked to the lock which then functions as private storage for one person or a group. The lock remains in the open position until someone locks it. For Flexlock EM, up to 45 users can be programmed in, and for Flexlock Mifare up to 200 users. See the section Programming for how to add and remove users. Flexlock is supplied in this default setting as a standard.
With the Mode 2 function, one or more users are linked to the lock which then functions as private storage for one person or a group. The default position of the lock is locked. After approximately 4 seconds, the lock always locks automatically so that when you close the storage unit it is locked without you having to present the card again.
For Flexlock EM, up to 45 users can be programmed in, and for Flexlock Mifare up to 200 users.
In Mode 3, the default position of the lock is open. This function is for temporary use by a user. This means no specific user is linked to the lock.
The lock is open until someone with any compatible RFID card or tag wishes to use it. The same RFID card or tag must always be used to unlock the lock (apart from the service card which is the master key). If someone else tries to open the lock, it emits an error signal.
Once the user has unlocked it and removed their things, the lock is left in the open position and is then ready for a new user to use it. A typical application would be lockers in gyms and swimming baths.
Just like Mode 3, Mode 4 is for open temporary storage for any user, but with a time restriction on how long the lock may be used. Just like in Mode 3, any user can lock it with their own RFID card. The difference is that if this user does not return within 12 hours, the lock will automatically unlock after that time.
Mode 5, just like Mode 4, is for open temporary storage, but with a time restriction on how long the lock may be used. Just like in Mode 3, any user can lock it with their own RFID card. If this user does not return within 2 hours, the lock will automatically unlock after that time.
Ready to Use is a function that is used in default setting Mode 1 or Mode 2. Added after installation.
With this function, the storage units are pre-configured so that the first user card used on the unit is registered as the unique user of that lock. This means you do not have to wait until you know who is to be allocated a specific unit.
Once the user is to cease using the storage unit, it can easily be reconfigured for a new person by re-programming with the Ready to Use card.
On opening and closing of the lock, there is the option of having it emit a beep as confirmation signal. The default setting is Sound Off, but the Sound On/Off card allows you to easily program the sound to On.
Function that activates or deactivates the flashing LED thats indicates when the storage is unlocked. This only works if you have a Visable 2.0 or a Mifare Invisible 2.0 lock with built-in LED.
Programming Exchange changes Programming card and Service card to unique ID-numbers. The function card prepares the lock to receive a new programming card and service card with unique ID number. Only compatible for Flexlock 2.0.
